The report shows that the overall situation of food packaging products this year is better than last year, but plasticizers are still a major safety hazard in plastic packaging products.

Food-related products refer to food contact materials such as plastic packaging and paper packaging for food, which directly affect food safety. The Kunming Quality Supervision Bureau has organized the supervision and spot check of food packaging products for 4 consecutive years, and the pass rate of the batch spot check of the physical quality of the products has been maintained at more than 90%.

In the second quarter of this year, the Kunming Quality Supervision Bureau conducted supervision and random inspections on the products produced by Kunming food-related product manufacturers and the products sold on the market. Among them, a total of 100 batches of samples were randomly checked for products produced by enterprises in Kunming. The products monitored and checked included plastic containers, plastic films, plastic bags and other plastic packaging containers and edible paper packaging containers. The qualified rate of physical quality inspection was 95%; There were 14 batches of products for self-use, 86 batches of product identification were inspected, 56 batches were qualified, and the product identification qualification rate was 56%. The main quality problems of unqualified products include unqualified sanitary indicators, unqualified compressive strength of paper packaging containers, and unqualified labels.

In addition, 80 batches of food-related product samples sold on the market were selected for risk early warning monitoring during the random inspection. The product categories include plastic wrap bags, disposable tableware, straws, paper trays, paper trays, etc., 30 of which were monitored this time No migratory fluorescent whitening agent was detected in the paper packaging samples, and the situation was better than last year. And 44% of sample plasticizers in plastic packaging exceed the limit value, which is a decrease compared with last year.

According to Chen Hong, director of the Institute of Light Industry of Yunnan Quality Inspection Institute, plasticizer is a kind of plastic product additive, which is widely used because of its good plasticizing effect and low price. Studies have found that the plasticizer in plastic products will migrate and penetrate into the packaged food, causing certain harm to the human body.
